Perth Amboy High School Marching Panthers'
Perth Amboy, NJ, located in Central New Jersey is the home of the Award Winning Perth Amboy High School Marching Panthers. The Marching Panthers have brought attention to the Perth Amboy Community on many occasions via the service and talent presented in performance venues like the Main Street Parade at the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom in 2005, the 2009 televised National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C., and other venues like EPCOT Center, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, and various local holiday parades and community events, to name a few.
The Perth Amboy High School band has enjoyed much competitive success since the early 1990’s being recognized for Best Percussion Line in 2005, 1st Place at the South Plainfield Marching Band Competition in 2005-2006, placing top 10 in the state of New Jersey at the USSBA Championships on October 26, 2008 and earning 2nd Place at the USSBA Championships on November 5th, 2011. The band has recently been graced with an invitation to compete in the 2013 United States National Competition hosted by USBands in Allentown, PA on November 9th.
Aside from competitions and large scale performances, the Band takes pride in their community and head efforts such as providing music for their local Senior Citizens Homes, performing for their local school community during March-Music in Our Schools Month, the local YMCA, and serving as mentors to middle school students who would like to continue studying music.
